David Fischer Fluisteraars! My favourite band from the country of my favourite fantasy language! I listened to this a lot today, and De Kronieken van het Verdwenen Kasteel I contains - almost - everything I love so much about these Dutchmen. The beautiful and distinctive warmth of their sound is present as well as an extended, entrancing passage and their fully unique, deliberately indiscriminant insanity. I - only slightly - prefer the first song. More EPs = more opportunities to gush over their greatness! Favorite track: Dromen van de zon.

Björnen It took me a few plays to comprehend and appreciate this EP but now I love it. Favorite track: De koning die werd ontdekt tijdens de blootlegging van de nieuwe dimensie.

The first track is an absolute banger, a fast, crusty punk sound, and with howls and hoots give it a wild savage sound. I hope to hear more of this with future releases.

The second track, meh at best. It sounded like Fluisteraars was going through the motions or a band copying fluisteraars without the magic that makes their sound. I didn’t feel anything. That’s a worse sin than being bored. I can feel bored. The first track by them I didn’t like. Favorite track: Dromen van de zon.

axegrinder The atmosphere emanated here is beyond words, especially when it comes to the second track. Everything about this song is fragile, it is carried by a deeply melancholic fleetingness, nurtured by an indistinct and profound despair. So beautiful - thanks. Favorite track: De koning die werd ontdekt tijdens de blootlegging van de nieuwe dimensie.

De Kronieken van het Verdwenen Kasteel (The Chronicles of Vanished Castle) will include three ep's that will be immortalized as 10" series. Made in the deep caverns of old Bennekom under the influence of old damp castle dungeons. Each Chronicle takes the listener on a wander through a vanished Bennekom stronghold. The fortresses, mostly built on forgotten pagan shrines, have ancient stories. We went into our mental dungeons to unravel those stories. We found exiled pagan gods hidden deep and cast away from daylight. Through the chronicles, we act as their mouthpiece.
